Vision Builders – Part 3

vision builders – part 3

During 2018 we launched our Vision Builders initiative at Spires Life Church. In the lead up to our 2018 Vision Sunday on the last Sunday in October last year, we outlined the way Vision Builders would work, what the heart of a Vision Builder would look like, how to invest in Vision Builders, and the kinds of things that Vision Builders would facilitate outside of the general budget. Following Vision Sunday, we encouraged people to signify any amounts they would be willing to invest in Vision Builders over the coming 12 month period, and any weekly Vision Builders amounts to commence during November. Of course, giving through Vision Builders would be amounts that were over and above regular weekly giving. Vision Builders funds would be used to facilitate and fund mission, facilities upgrade and debt reduction. By the end of November 2018, and number of people had submitted their pledges, and others did so over the next few months. So far we have received in excess of $20,000.00 in Vision Builders (this does not include the $3500.00 given to purchase the John Deere ride on mower); some money came in by weekly amounts, and other money came in by larger one off lump sums.
Money so far has been used to:
  • Upgrade the female toilets.
  • Provide storage in the CMC for Kids Club, Camp Sonshine, Playgroup.
  • Debt reduction.
  • Computers upgrade in Admin Centre and Children’s Ministry Centre check in.
As we move toward Vision Sunday on 27th October 2019, I invite you and encourage you to pray and to consider being an investor in Vision Builders in the upcoming year. As you pray, please consider the amount you will give, and whether you will be a weekly, fortnightly, monthly giver over and above your regular giving, or whether you will give a one off, or a number of lump sum gifts. The plan this year is for the pledge cards to be available during October so that they can be submitted on 27th October, Vision Sunday.

“Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously
will also reap generously.”   (2 Corinthians 9:6 NIV)

Thank you again for your generosity. This year for our Vision Sunday our theme is change. We are believing that through Vision Builders your generosity will help facilitate positive change in Jesus’ name.
